It ended up being a gorgeous day for Melissa and Jared. Their wedding at Edwards Barn in Nipomo, Ca was so awesome! Started out walking the grounds of Edwards Barn...what a great venue! You can't help but walk around and check out all the cool signs they have. It's pretty fun! Then the guys showed up in the limo, after having to turn around and go back to the Hotel to pick up Melissa's little brother who was one of the grooms men lol. That was a great story, and one he probably won't let live down either haha. Then we took some fun shots with the guys...one of which included a garden gnome :D

Then the girls arrived and Melissa was rushed off to put on her gown. The girls all helped and right after she was ready she had a special delivery from Jared. The best man (Jareds brother) brought in a single rose and note. It was a special moment that I captured on video (see the slideshow below.) After the tears were wiped away (from my eyes haha jk) we went on to take photos of the beautiful bride and the bridesmaids. Check out that bouquet with succulents! Edwards Barn makes for a great backdrop and photo op so we were able to take the shots for the girls right in front since it was a bit later in the day.

Then we were ready for the first look! Not familiar with first looks / reveal moments? Check out this link on my page. The bridal party was there watching in anticipation. Jared was facing away as Melissa walked up. As he turned around he was shocked...and then it really sunk in! It was an awesome moment that I love being able to capture! Then we were able to go take even more fun photos with the bride and groom which are some of my favorites!

By this time, the guests were starting to arrive and we had to hide our bride because it was about time for the ceremony. Which is one of my favorite parts of the day. One of the reasons I love shooting weddings so much is to witness this moment with my couples as they say their vows and exchange rings. I feel so blessed to be able to document this special moment. It takes me back to my own wedding each time as well, which adds to the emotions. I was probably as emotionally as the groom in these photos of him during the ceremony...I'm just glad all eyes were on him! lol.

After the ceremony we were able to take photos with the family. And since we did all the wedding party before hand Jared and Melissa were able to enjoy their cocktail hour and party with their family and friends! Dinner was served, toasts were made (which are always fun lol) and we danced! Melissa and Jared are now newlyweds and I'm proud to have documented their day for them. Now they forever get to remember this day, pass down photos to their kids...and even their grand-kids one day so they can see what their wedding day was like.
